Events

March 2009: Sorry, we've forgotten to announce events here, but they have happened! Among other things, we've greatly improved Priory Common. We'll try to do better on announcing events in future ....

5th November 2006 Daffodil planting
Please help plant more daffodils on Priory Common!
11.00am to 1.00pm Meet at bottom of Park Avenue North (by Paul Eddington Memorial Bench) Bring spade or trowel and gardening gloves. If you have some spare plants that can go in the Common flower beds please bring those. We will also be collecting litter.

7 October 2006: Paul Eddington memorial bench. Click here for slide show
Our MP Lynne Featherstone dedicated a public bench to the late Paul Eddington in the presence of his widow Patricia and two of their sons. (The bench is by the bus stop at the end of Park Avenue North.) The bench and plaque were paid for entirely by public donations raised by WERA, and cost about £500, but the collection raised £765.
The opening of the bench
The extra funds will be used to buy shrubs and bulbs for Priory Common. Nearly 100 people attended the ceremony, and the sun shone - a very happy occasion in memory of Paul, who lived in Park Avenue North from 1967 to 1984.  For more details see
